TEX MEX AT ITS BEST

We strive to use only the freshest ingredients for each of our recipes.  We buy only fresh beef and chicken that are guaranteed to contain no antibiotics or added growth hormones and that have been raised on a strictly  vegetarian diet. We use only produce that is locally/regionally produced when possible.  Our flour tortillas are made in house by hand fresh daily.  Our corn tortillas are sourced from a local provider, they always come fresh, never frozen.  So even though we don’t make them here they are as fresh as if we did produce them ourselves.  The smokeyness you taste in the salsa is the smoke from the hickory wood we burn as we grill the tomatoes , onions, and peppers used to make our salsa.  We serve it slightly warm to bring out all of those flavors. 

FULL BAR SERVICE

We offer a wide variety of tequilas as well as an interesting selection of beers both on draft and in the bottle.  The fruit flavored mixes used for our frozen margaritas are made from real fruit, the mix used for the prickly pear margarita for example is just that, dried prickly pear.  We squeeze fresh limes to get the lime juice found in our margaritas, and we never use lime juice from concentrate. If you like dark beer we have Negra Modello on draft or Guinness in a bottle.  Our inventory includes most popular brands of scotch, burbon, gin or vodka.  We make a mean martini.

JOIN US ON THE PATIO

    Without question we have one of the city’s best patios for people watching.  Located at the foot of the steps to the Angelika Film Center and the Mockingbird Station train platform, you’ll never know who you might see while having dinner or just enjoying a margarita on our fabulous patio.
